CAIR- 80

The Clean Air Isolation Room (CAIR-80), is a portable room that can be used for medical emergencies. It can quickly expand existing medical facilities to alleviate overflow as well as improve isolation capabilities in remote and urban areas.

Clean Airborne Isolation Room

In response to the hospital overcrowding resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, the Las Vegas company Müller Construction, together with Dr. Kartika Shetty, M.D., developed an 'isolation room' that can be mass-produced, is highly mobile, can be set up essentially anywhere, and provides a safe, comfortable, protected location for treating Covid-19 patients, without endangering hospital staff or other patients.

The Clean Airborne Isolation Room (CAIR-80), is a portable room that can be used for medical emergencies. It can quickly expand existing medical facilities to alleviate overflow as well as improve isolation capabilities in remote areas. This multipurpose room was built to serve different purposes as dictated by the situation. The room can be placed in parking lots of Emergency Departments and used as a staging or triage room for high risk cases. The room can be used for admitted patients requiring negative pressure airborne precautions including patients who are on ventilators. The room can easily accommodate full size hospital bed and 3 to 5 healthcare providers as the situation (i.e. CODE Blue or Rapid Response situations) demands. The room also has observation windows and a service hatch to easily pass food trays from outside without compromising isolation.

In the interest of protecting the public during this pandemic, Müller will be allowing any company to use the design to construct more units, without charge, in the hopes it will help give hospitals sufficient space to handle this emergency.
